Check out the links in the bar at the top of the page if you'd like to view my albums that I've made of some recent events, like sailing in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, my old student IDs, or just some family stuff. There's also links for horse-related places, the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and the West Virginia University Marching Band, among others.
The "Flaming Couch" WVU logo helmet is courtesy of Tony Rice, a fellow traveler from the rec.sport.football.college USENET newsgroup. The helmet was inspired by similar silly designs from The Helmet Project, and I requested a flaming couch helmet for the Mountaineers, in honor of the WVU-Va Tech game this past year.
All the links open in a separate window, so the previous page is always available in the background.Enjoy!
Below on the left is a picture Nancy and I had taken on the deck of the Norwegian Cruise Lines' MS Westward, Bermuda-bound in May of 1992. As you can see, a rather prominent and doomed landmark "towers" in the background, a year before the first terrorist attack in 1993.   This was always one of our favorite pictures of the trip, and of course now it holds an even more dear place in our hearts.
The photo on the right was taken in April 2007 of me on my 1975 Newport 28 sailboat that I had just purchased. She's a real beauty and a great sailer.
| Jack Fleming, the "Voice of the Mountaineers" for 42 years, died on 3 Jan 2001 at age 77.   Click on the picture to the right to hear a classic Fleming opening for the 1986 WVU-Penn State game. |
