In the early part of March, the Baltimore Downtown Sailing Center (hereafter to be known as the DSC) put out an email to all its members asking for volunteers to move a 26' Chris Craft sailboat that had been donated to the DSC from a marina in Annapolis to the DSC docks in the Baltimore Inner Harbor.
I put my name into the hat, as it looked to be the first nice day of spring, and I had never made the trip between Annapolis and Baltimore by water. And I felt that it was important to do so, if I really wanted to call myself a Chesapeake Bay sailor. This is the story of that voyage: the grounding, the discovery of our true ETA, and the beautiful weather and water we had and saw on the trip. Enjoy. |
