Moving a boat for the Baltimore Downtown Sailing Center
30 March 2005

In the early part of March, the Baltimore Downtown Sailing Center (hereafter to be known as the DSC) put out an email to all its members asking for volunteers to move a 26' Chris Craft sailboat that had been donated to the DSC from a marina in Annapolis to the DSC docks in the Baltimore Inner Harbor.

I put my name into the hat, as it looked to be the first nice day of spring, and I had never made the trip between Annapolis and Baltimore by water.  And I felt that it was important to do so, if I really wanted to call myself a Chesapeake Bay sailor.

This is the story of that voyage:  the grounding, the discovery of our true ETA, and the beautiful weather and water we had and saw on the trip.

Enjoy.
